Vspc Auq Watch List For Wed Oct 10 2012

** VSPC reported that its proprietary, high yield, dedicated energy crop Giant King(TM) Grass has been released from quarantine by the US Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection S Oct 10th, 2012.

VSPC, VIASPACE Inc. VSPC reported that its proprietary, high yield, dedicated energy crop Giant King(TM) Grass has been released from quarantine by the US Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) for distribution in the United States. APHIS has the mission of protecting and promoting US agricultural health in support of the overall mission of the US Department of Agriculture which is to protect and promote food, agriculture, natural resources and related issues. Giant King Grass was grown at the APHIS facility in Beltsville Maryland under the Plant Germplasm Quarantine Program. It was extensively tested for pathogens including analysis of the nucleic acid extract using E-Probe Diagnostic Nucleic Acids Analysis (EDNA). It was found to be pathogen free. After another inspection by the state of Maryland Department of Agriculture, which issued a phytosanitary certificate, the Giant King Grass was delivered to VSPC. VSPC grows Giant King Grass as a low-carbon fuel for electricity generating power plants; for energy pellets; and as a feedstock for bio methane production and cellulosic biofuels, biochemicals and biomaterials. AUQ reported that it has entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Minera Frisco, S.A.B. de C.V. will acquire the Ocampo mine and the adjacent exploration projects "Venus" and "Los Jarros" all located in Chihuahua State, Mexico and a 50% interest in the Orion advanced development project located in Nayarit State, Mexico from AUQ, for a total cash consideration of 750 million. Minera Frisco is a leading Mexican mining company that was spun out of Grupo Carso S.A. de C.V. in November 2010 and is listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange with a current market capitalization of approximately 10.7 billion. The transaction is expected to close in December 2012. The Transaction is subject to certain closing conditions, including a standard review by the competition and anti-trust commission of Mexico and the approval of a simple majority of Minera Frisco's shareholders. The Transaction is not subject to any financing conditions.
