Web browser based file transfer sessions rely on uninterrupted Internet connections, with any drop in the connection resulting in a failed transfer state. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) usually emphasize their download speeds. Their upload speeds are generally much slower. These slower upload speeds can extend the file upload time for large files, increasing the likelihood of an interruption. A weak or intermittent wireless networking connection, Internet congestion, power save modes, and even an innocuous screensaver each have the capability to interrupt
a file transfer.
