It is sad that we live in a culture where people hide behind the Internet in order to stalk and harass people. We should applaud laws that provide protection for those who are being harassed online. We should applaud and support laws that prosecute Cyberbullies. This is a problem that affects not only teens and young people, the sickness has crossed over to adults posting and bullying on the internet as well. This manner of attacking people behind the guise of anonymous posts, blogger pages or blatant pages created to bash is the new way of the coward.
For example, Big Rich Texas star Pamela Martin Duarte is constantly being criticized and harassed online by her jealous cast mates who take their pettiness off the screen and wage a cyberbullying campaign against her. A strong believer in laws and order, Pamela filed lawsuit in Dallas Country Court against her jealous cast mates, their friends and bloggers who are engaged in cyberbullying campaign against her to defame her image in the public arena. Eventually, the verdict is coming out in favor of Pamela Martin Duarte. It is truly said - Truth alone triumphs; not falsehood.
With time web bullies get trapped in the web. Cyberbullies attack good persons behind the guise of anonymous posts and blogger pages. They think they will never be trapped or identified. But they forget that cyberbullying may give them anonymity, but it always leaves digital evidence including your username, and password.
Last week, it happened to Terri Hernandez who commented on a D Magazine blog under the user name Dr. Hamilton calling Big Rich Texas cast Pamela Martin Duarte a sociopath and a habitual liar and a gold-digger-turned-call girl. Finally, she is trapped in the web. And do you know how has it been possible? Dont get astonished!!! D Magazine provided username and email address to support the fighting against cyberbullies. With the help of username and email address, it was quite easy to track the user IP address and eventually the real person. So next time when you will think to bully someone, you should think many times before you write. There is nowhere to escape from the laws! Fight against bullying and foster a true character:-p
