In todays contemporary world parents are increasingly opting to nurture an only child. Some parents have to feel content with only one child. Many factors contribute to this decision, such as living in a high priced society, the visible growth of a competitive environment, an increasing number of divorce cases and also marriage at an older age. I believe that with the dynamic population growth of India, the government of India would soon adopt the one child per family criteria which has already been implemented in china to gain population control.
