San Diego/July 14-15, 21-22, 2012Olhausen pool tables went mobile at the 59th Annual Over The Line (OTL) Tournament on Fiesta Island to the delight of players and fans. Thirty thousands fans attended this unique baseball-style tournament.
The annual Over The Line tournament, held every year on San Diegos Fiesta Island in Mission Bay, takes place over two weekends following the 4th of July holiday. Compared to other team related sports, OTL only requiring two three-person teams and a small playing field. Based on the game of baseball, the goal is to hit the ball over the line to score a hit. The game is quick, only three or four innings long.
Brian Olhausen, GM, attended both weekends with mobile Olhausen GameRoom tables and said, Here we have all these arcade games for home and were playing with them in the biggest sandbox in San Diego. There were some amazing fans playing on the contemporary pool table we set up. One also bought a pool table over the weekend and we delivered it to their home Monday.
The OTL fans were intrigued to see the other games that Olhausen GameRooms brought to the sand such as a poker table for cards,
a table hockey game, ping pong, and listening to the CD Jukebox filled with entertaining music all weekend.
The two-weekend OTL Mens Open Winner was Tiewraps.com, comprised of Jeff Albritton, Jeff Briggs, and David Bubba Leyba. The events sponsor--The Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC)--has donated tens of thousands of dollars to various charities throughout the years.
