The Soul placed first above its main rivals, including the Fiat 500, the Ford Fiesta, the Honda Fit, and the Mazda3. For a car to be considered, it had to cost less then 16,000, making it an affordable choice for a college student.
The Kia Soul has an affordable base price of 14,400. It offers impressive specifications for a compact multi-purpose vehicle, including 138 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission. Other specifications include a 1.6 liter engine, front-wheel drive and a fuel economy of 27mpg (city) and 35 mpg ( highway).
The Soul grabbed the attention of J.D. Power and Associates in 2012. The marketing research firm ranked the Soul highest in its class based on customer satisfaction, product quality and buyer behavior.
