New Schnauzer Book Dedicated To All Three Types Of Schnauzer Launched Today

The first-ever book covering all three types of schnauzer has just been launched by Yorkshire-based journalist and miniature schnauzer owner Linda Whitwam. Jun 25th, 2012.

United States (FreePressBox.com) Jun 25th, 2012 --

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, June 25, 2012 -- A new book dedicated to all three types of schnauzer is launched today (Friday, June 22).

Entitled The Schnauzer Handbook, the book has over 250 pages and 300 photographs and graphics on these purebred dogs. It is published as an eBook and will also be available in Amazon Kindle format later this year.

The book has been written by journalist and photographer Linda Whitwam, ably assisted by her seven-year-old miniature schnauzer Max. Linda, who is based in West Yorkshire, England, has over two decades' experience working for international book publishers, magazines and newspapers. For the last four years she has run a popular website at www.max-the-schnauzer.com and the book draws on the experience of many schnauzer owners and canine experts.

The new schnauzer book is highly visual and has been written in an easy-to-understand manner, it is suitable for all ages from 10 to 100. It is packed full of information useful to both current owners and those people who planning on getting a schnauzer. Subjects covered include breed standards, characteristics and temperament, feeding, allergies both human and canine, training, behaviour, exercise, grooming, the birds and the bees and where to find a rescue schnauzer.

There are also large sections on puppies how to select a healthy one with the right temperament, finding a good breeder, bringing a puppy home, etc and health vital signs of good health, first signs of illness and some ailments which may affect the three breeds.

Linda said: I believe The Schnauzer Handbook is the first-ever book to cover all three types of Schnauzer. They are three distinctive breeds, but they do have some similarities. Generally, all schnauzers love being with people and dont like being left alone. They like to be in the midst of everything.

They really do make wonderful pets and companions the worst thing about writing a book about them is constantly having to type schnauzer correctly!

The book costs 11.50 (approximately US17.97 or 14.37 Euros) and further information is available from: http://www.max-the-schnauzer.com/schnauzer-handbook.html
