Recent studies support Wyckoffs claim. A survey from CareerBuilder states that 35 percent of employers plan to hire in the remaining months of 2011, up from 28 percent in 2010. A recent Staffing Industry Analyst survey also reported a 10% increase in orders from staffing agencies specializing in direct hire.
Organizations are outsourcing the hiring process to staffing firms for their vast network of connections, adds Wyckoff. Staffing professionals reach out to the currently employed market and passive candidates in addition to the unemployed pool.
