MS. SUNITA NARULA GETS LIONS CLUB OF
DELHI TEACHERS EXCELLENCE AWARD 2012
New Delhi: Lions Club of Delhi has given this years Teacher's Excellence Award to Ms. Sunita Narula, New Era Public School, Mayapuri with for her meritorious services. The Award ceremony was organized at India International Centre, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi yesterday evening.
Chief Guest Award given by Smt. Satinder Kaur, Addl. Director (Education) Govt. of NCT of Delhi to Ms. Sunit Narula, New Era Public School, Maya Puri, New Delhi.
Lions Club International is the largest service organization in the world with nearly 1.5 million members spread in 206 countries across the globe. Lions Club of Delhi has the unique distinction of being the first Chartered Club in India and launching this unique initiative in February 1956. Our club has, since then been continuously serving the cause of the less fortunate and under privileged people in our society.
In a developing country like India teachers have a major role to play to shape the future citizens of the country and build a strong nation. Every year, on the occasion of Teachers Day, our club has been honoring meritorious teachers. This year also our club decided to honor the teaching fraternity at a special function, presided over by an eminent personality, to be held on 22 September 2012.
