The Lighthouse Lounge at the award-winning island resort of Baros Maldives, has launched a new list of individually-created cocktails that are proving popular with the resorts guests.
The Lighthouse Lounge is unique, suspended over the sea with some of the finest sunset views in the Maldives. It is located above the Lighthouse Restaurant, acclaimed as being among the best dining experiences in the Maldives.
Cocktails include the rum-and-fire inspired Rangalu (it means good in Maldivian) and the sochu-based Lighthouse Julep, as well as Cucumber and Basil Fizz made with fresh island-grown basil and premium gin. Non-alcoholic cocktails include Falhu with pineapple and passion fruit.
The Lighthouse Lounge also features a wide selection of bottles of vintage and non-vintage champagnes, as well as champagne by the glass. Soothing music sets a romantic mood, and a jazz combo plays every Friday evening.
Baros Maldives is a small, private island only 25 minutes from the Maldives International Airport. It has 75 elegantly furnished, thatched timber and sandstone villas, either in gardens by the beach or perched over the islands reef-ringed lagoon.
Only the third resort to open in the Maldives, Baros has become the hallmark of mature and gracious island hospitality, discreet but congenial, in a lush, secluded setting -- with the addition of gourmet-class restaurants and bars.
