Kurumba Maldives has made a concerted effort in improving the value proposition for its guests by introducing a new service concept that consist of a series of small touches and surprises to enhance their holiday experience.
First of all guests now have the option to enjoy the resorts social scene on any night of their holiday. Kurumba now offers a diverse array of live entertainment ranging from 1 DJ and four live band nights, sunset Jazz evenings at the Sand Bar and Maldivian Bodu Beru performances. Additional complimentary evening activities also include weekly movies, guest cocktails, coconut capers, disco night in the Rendezvous Bar and wine tastings evenings.
Then there is also the recently created Majaa Recreation department is also helping visitors make most out of their holiday with a number of guest experience enrichment programs. These cover free snorkeling lessons, guided reef tours and marine biology presentations to allow the guest to have a greater understanding of the environment.
For the younger travelers, there is the new Majaa Kids department, outdoor play area and a series of special activities created just for kids.
There are also a number of surprises in stall for guest in terms of out of room and in room experiences and future changes are in progress with the idea of under promising and over delivering.
Jason Kruse, the General Manager of Kurumba Maldives has stated that, Our guest feedback is the cornerstone of our improvement processes and many of these changes have been taken from guest suggestions. Our goal is to deliver an experience at a much lower price point of our direct competitors
The ongoing changes has already proved to a great success resulting in a high level of positive trip advisor feedback, with Kurumbas trip advisor position climbing up from 70 to the top 20 in just over 18 months.
Kurumba has mentioned there is many new initiatives install for 2012, however they are keeping to their philosophy of pleasantly surprising their guests.
