After several months of preparation and integration work, local Peddy Tech has officially changed its trading name to The Computer Guyz, complete with an exciting new brand.
Established in 1998, Peddy Tech has grown over the years to be a familiar name in the IT field, specializing in small business solutions and based out of Montague Gardens, Cape Town. During late 2011, the company opened an office in Fourways, Johannesburg to service the Gauteng area as well as a satellite office in Durban.
According to owner, Craig Pedersen, the change of trading name was necessary to breath new life into the company corresponding with the growth to other city centres, Its been a period of change for us overall, were moving from the break-fix business model to a more proactive Managed Services business model and the timing was right to bring everything together with the right branding.
The Computer Guyz name was born out of habit more than anything according to Branch manager Natascha Aweh, Everytime we walked into a clients offices, you would hear The computer guys are here.. If you cant beat them join them. The z instead of an s just adds a nice quirk to the name and makes it distinctive.
Leading designers and brand consultants were roped in to develop the new look and feel for the company and arrived at the striking new black and yellow logo.
The Computer Guyz have barely settled with their new trading name and already business has catapulted. We have had a lot of interest in our Managed Services offering from clients, while at the same time weve been kept furiously busy with Server 2012 deployments and of course Microsoft Volume Licencing. As a Silver Microsoft Partner, its really important to us that we leverage this partnership to bring our clients the latest software and best possible deals.
