The lower the resolutions are, the faster your computer will perform its tasks.
An active desktop requires a large space and objects to multiple windows running. You can simply disable the option of active desktop and so your computer would work faster. You should defragment your disk drives often. Through this option, all the programs assemble and it is easy to load them. You can send your PC to rest on the bed. In the windows 98, there is a button of sleep and wake. When you are inactive on the computer and busy anywhere else, simply make it to sleep so it consumes less power. After a long rest, it can work faster.
When the window starts, it loads each font individually. As many fonts you use, as much time it takes to load, so it is better to use less fonts so that the computer can load faster. Dont stretch your wallpaper so that the computer may not use up all memory for it and secondly keep upgrading your Ram. This will allow fast performance and lower the work load on hard disk.
