Doctor- Patient Awareness Rally Free Health camp to commemorate World Heart Day in Jabalpur

Sees enthusiastic participation from Doctors and people from different walks of life

Jabalpur, September 29, 2012: World Heart Day was observed in Jabalpur by doctors and patients, coming together and joining hands, to encourage preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle. The initiative was supported by Glenmark, the global integrated pharmaceuticals company.

The awareness rally which started from Jabalpur Hospital saw enthusiastic participation of Doctors and people from different walks of life. To mark the occasion, Glenmark also organized a Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) camp for the general public at Jabalpur Hospital. Tests like Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure (BP), Micral and Body Fat Analyzer were conducted free of charge under the supervision of distinguished cardiologist from Jabalpur hospital and research centre - Dr. Mahesh P Agarwala.

Apart from Jabalpur, Glenmark is organising similar activities in over 10 cities across the country to mark World Heart Day. World Heart Day is globally held on the last Sunday of September each year to inform people about cardiovascular diseases, which are the biggest cause of death worldwide. The event also aims to promote preventative measures that reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
