Dan Young GM in Tipton, Indiana is proud to have 2 of the best-selling electric vehicle cars in July at their Kokomo area dealership. Last month, the Chevrolet Volt sales totaled more than 1,800 units, making it the most sold electric vehicle in July. This is the third month in a row that the Volt has outsold all of their electric competitors including the Nissan Leaf and Toyota Prius Plug-In.
Chevy sold 1,849 Volts in July, more than the Toyota Prius Plug-in and the all-electric Nissan Leaf combined sales. The Chevy Volt can also go more miles per battery charge at 35, than the Toyota Prius Plug-In which can only travel 13 miles per charge. However, both cars receive an EPA combined miles per gallon rating of 94 mpg in overall electric and gasoline-powered operations.
The Volt is more stylish, technologically advanced, and more fun to drive than other electric vehicle competitors. Drivers can connect with their Volt via their in-car 7 dashboard touch screen display, OnStar Directions Connections plan, and their smart phone. Drivers will never be out of touch with their Volt. Drivers can also choose between different interior color combinations, making their Volt unique to their style.
Chevrolet has already sold 10,666 Volts in the first seven months of 2012, more than in all of 2011. Last year, Chevy sold 7,671 Volts and with rising gas prices, the demand for electric cars is also on the rise.
The friendly sales representatives at Dan Young GM would be happy to show off the Chevy Volt. It goes above and beyond the current electric vehicle competition and if drivers are still unsure, come out to the Tipton dealership to give the Volt a test drive.
