Indian equity markets up by 0.46% .

Bank Nifty down by 124.85 pts at 10332.85
Global Market
European markets were down with FTSE down by 19.73 pts at 5756.87,CAC down by 16.42 pts at 3416.14 and DAX down by 31.25 pts at 6918.32
Dow future down by 4.00 pts at 13035.00
Market Analysis
o Key benchmark indices edged lower in choppy trade as investors grew gloomy about the health of the global economy and after a Federal Reserve official threw cold water on the notion that
o another round of stimulus from the Federal Reserve is on its way.
o The BSE Sensex was down 55.08 points or 0.31% to 17,795.14. The index declined 124.80 points at the day's low of 17,725.42 in afternoon trade, its lowest level since 21 August 2012. The index fell 27.72 points at the day's high of 17,822.50 in early trade.
o The SP CNX Nifty was down 24.95 points or 0.46% to 5,390.40, as per provisional figures. The index hit a low of 5,371 in intraday trade, its lowest level since 21 August 2012. The Nifty hit high of 5,399.65 in intraday trade.
o The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was negative. On BSE, 1,612 shares fell and 1,209 shares rose. A total of 145 shares were unchanged.
o Tata Steel, Jindal Steel Power, ICICI Bank and Hindalco Industries dropped by between 1.86% to 2.77%.Realty stocks edged lower on profit booking. Unitech, HDIL and Phoenix Mills shed by between 0.97% to 6.76%.
