Cli Announces New Leadership Training Programs That Meet The Needs Of Emerging Leaders

Team Building Training - Everything about building team, professional/fun team building, team building training, consultant, workshops, skills, seminar, services, corporate leadership training. Oct 5th, 2012.

India (FreePressBox.com) Oct 5th, 2012 --

Chicago, Illinois, September 29, 2012: The Corporate Learning Institute has created a new leadership training program in response to the increasingly important need to train new leaders. We have four generations in the workforce for the first time since we were an agriculturally based economy, and these contributors include traditionalists, baby-boomers, generation X and generation Y, notes CLI partner Dr. Susan Cain. As baby boomers retire, there is an increased need to offer leadership training to generations X and Y within the time and budget constraints of the current economy, she stated. Generations X and Y are emerging as the new leaders in many organizations.

Both generations are native to technology and view work as needing to fit into a more balanced lifestyle picture. The leadership training that we are now designing and delivering has to fit the context of what an emerging leader thinks is valuable. So our leadership training programs are offered with web-based applications, and focus on the crucial skills that developing leaders need. These include time management, performance reviews and feedback-giving, as well as how to work with older followers, Dr. Cain said.

There are many leadership assessment tools that CLI employs to help leaders improve their performance. These include Situational Leadership, an assessment that allows leaders to understand how to manage followers within four phases of their performance development. Emerging leaders have to know that there are different approaches needed for different followers, Dr. Cain asserted. There is a need to affirm the developing leader and at the same time help them select the best approach to meet the needs of the follower, she added.

CLI offers leadership training that is designed around an organizations needs. Leadership training can be offered to individuals in coaching sessions, offered at short sessions at any location, or offered in a one or two day leadership training format. CLI is certified in a variety of tools that help leaders develop, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, The Personal Profile Assessment, The Denison Culture Survey, The Leadership Practices Inventory, the Thomas Kilmann Conflict Indicator, Foresight, the FIRO-B and many others.
