Melbourne, Australia, 14 June 2012 The Ascott Limiteds (Ascott) first Citadines Aparthotel in Australia, Citadines on Bourke Melbourne has been named the Apartment/Suite Accommodation of the Year at the 2012 Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) (Victoria) State Awards for Excellence. The pre-eminent awards by the TAA, the newly-established division of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA), recognize the best in the accommodation sector.
This is the second year running that Citadines on Bourke Melbourne has received the award for best apartment style accommodation, having clinched the Best Suite/Apartment Style Hotel at the 2011 AHA State and National awards. The property, which opened in July 2010, also garnered the Silver Award in New Accommodation Development at the National Accommodation Industry Awards for Excellence 2011 and was a finalist at the Victorian Tourism Awards for New Tourism Development.
