Belfast, UK, July 31, 2012 -- Asidua client and leading UK Local Authority, Harrow Council, is celebrating once again after winning the prestigious MJ Transformation through IT award. This latest award sees the London borough council build on their Best Achieving Council success in 2011.
The MJ Awards, organised by the leading weekly magazine for Local Authorities - Municipal Journal magazine, saw a record number of entries. In the Transformation through IT category, a panel of distinguished judges selected Harrow Council for transforming council services through their innovative MyHarrow Account - an online account system where users can carry out over 80 different transactions with the council 24 hours per day.
Asidua, who help Local Authorities transform contact management and contact services with their Customer Contact PlatformTM (CCP), has been successfully engaged with Harrow Council, in partnership with Capita, since 2008. Indeed CCP plays an integral role in integrating the Gandlake MyHarrow Account solution with line of business systems.
This fact was noted by Carol Cutler, Director of Transformation in Harrow when she said: Our suppliers have played an active part in helping Harrow get to where we are, culminating in this award. CCP from Asidua supports a lot of what we do with customer contact and this combined with the hard work of our staff and the technology from other suppliers has allowed Harrow to transform how we interact with residents, businesses, landlords and tenants. In 2006/7, just 1,995 transactions took place via the website. During 2011/12, this increased to 6,000 transactions a month through MyHarrow Accounts. Were now dealing with 65% of council enquires online.
CCP, which is registered on the Local Government Software Application Solutions (LGSAS) framework, helps makes it easier for Local Authorities to improve customer contact, promote channel shift, maximise
one-and-done, minimise avoidable contact and ensure that services are delivered cost effectively.
Commenting on London Borough of Harrows latest award, Asidua Sales and Marketing Director, Bob McClean said: Asidua would like to congratulate Harrow Council on their well deserved success at this years MJ Awards.
Bob continued: Today, in a climate of year on year budget reductions, many Local Authorities are under pressure to make substantial savings without cutting front line services. However our successful engagement with Harrow Council, and indeed a number of other flagship councils, shows that it is possible to make the required savings whilst actually improving the overall service offered to citizens and businesses.
