The bold styling of Kias KV7 Concept vehicle turned heads when it debuted in 2011 at the North American Auto Show in Detroit, and it has been announced that the design of the 2014 Kia Sedona minivan will be based off the KV7. The 2014 Kia Sedona will be available at Steven Kia once the all-new minivan is released.
In order for a seamless transition, Kia will not release a 2013 model year of the Sedona, as engineers and designers perfect what is sure to be a revolutionary vehicle in terms of minivan styling.
The minivan segment has been and will continue to be important to Kia. Although there will not be a 2013 model year Sedona, our plans call for the current generation vehicle to be available at dealerships through 2012, with production scheduled to resume in 2013, said Kia Motors America spokesman James Hope.
The KV7 Concept did not only flaunt a bold design that combined both boxy and sleek, but it also will feature several technologies that Kia will hope to incorporate into the 2014 Kia Sedona. Kia Marketing Vice President Michael Sprague said, "With the KV7, what we see coming eventually is materials on the vehicle that we'd like to see incorporate or getting a Kia that's Wi-Fi enabled; it's just a matter of how soon."
